It's been a long time since I did it, but if I remember correctly there is no modification required.

The only issue is that the dark slide interlock hangs up when mounting the back. Just pull it out, no farther than the notch in the slide, and it will install just fine without exposing the film.

If you have a problem with the double exposure lock just move the lever into the double exposure position.

If you don't already have the VH, I's suggest trying one, the knobs are really small and fussy. At least they were too small for my (largish) hands.
