View Full Version : Lens hood for Schneider 65mm? Help!
Hello all and greetings from Morocco -
I am currently using a Cambo Wide 650 and have noticed that in bright sun the flare is awfully brutal.
Any line on a good hood for this lens? Thanks!

I would get good at flagging with your hand or a dark slide. The problem with a hood on that wide a lens is that every little movement will change the part of the lens coverage hitting the frame. If you simply use a hood that lets through the entire coverage circle, it probably won't block the light you need to block.
If you really must have a hood, I would get a generic rubber one and cut it with scissors.

The above reply +1.
A small, adjustable ball clamp and a spare dark slide will do the job, and be more effective in many situations than the relatively tiny round lenshood.
Thanks guys - I will definitely try flagging with my hand or a spare piece of something opaque.
I appreciate your help and look forward to trying it out!
