I'm getting five photographers from Germany together to make a special film order (through Keith Canham).
We are getting Kodak Portra 400 (The new one NOT "NC") in boxes of 50 sheets each. 5x7 inch.
They sell for 348€.

Anybody else interested ?

That's $8.80 per sheet. Yikes! It used to be that you could save significant money by cutting your own down from 8x10. But with 8x10 at $15 per sheet I guess those days are gone. I'd jump in if I hadn't stockpiled at the end of the NC run.

$6.96 per sheet.

dhirsch, that's 348 euros, not dollars, so 6.96 euros per sheet. The euro is worth $1.27 so actually $8.84 per sheet.

It is $6.96...
Sorry, it was my mistake in the first message. Total price is $348. USD not Euro.

I'm good for one, maybe two boxes.

Hi,

Where is delivery?

Larry, D-tach, r.e. and anyone else who might be interested,

All you have to do is call or email Keith Canham and tell him how many boxes you want. http://www.canhamcameras.com/faqs.htm
He'll then send you an invoice, which you have to pay upfront BEFORE Kodak manufactures the film.
Minimun order in total is 35 boxes, which among us we already have, so you can easily order even just 1 box.
But you have to do it now, otherwise you need to order 35 boxes...

Keith gets all the film and ships it to you, so you pay your own shipping (or EU customs).

Contacting K Canham is no small matter.

I will try to call (again) Mon. but these days without at least a frequently monitored email no wonder few of these special orders succeed.

I filled in a inquiry form on his website asking about the Portra 400 order and he replied in a few hours so perhaps you should try that way. It's still possible to join the co-order

I set him a request for a box.

I wonder if there would be enough interest to get Ektar or a slide film in 5x7?
