How automatic is a CPP2/3?
Does it automatically fill and dump the chemicals from the drum?
Or is it primarily a temperature control and rotation unit where you must manually perform fill and dump operations?

Yes, you must manually perform the fill and dump. But the magic of the Lift is that it lets you do the fill and dump "on the fly", without having to stop the motor or remove the tank/drum.
