Double deardorff camera ??

I dont know about posting ebay links, its not my sale, and this one was just to curious not to post.
Do anyone know what these have been used for, or have a suggestion ? Just looks weird ...

Boy, that is a good question. My guess, and it is a total guess, is that it's a custom sized job to allow two people to do copy work at the same time with the work back to back.

Yeh, thats probably a reasonable guess. But imagine using two deardorff, and whats looks like 11x14 camera, for that job... Oh lord :D

The frame work is rather similar to the old Photostat cameras designed for copying plans etc, I guess these were built for similar uses.

The front standard says "14x14 Deardorff."
