View Full Version : Lab recs for E6 processing

Hi Everyone,

I've just finished shooting through my first pack of slide film (Velvia 100, 4x5). I'd like to send it out for developing. Can people recommend their favorite labs? I live in North Carolina (Raleigh area), and wouldn't mind sending the film domestically.

Sorry if this is redundant -- I searched the archives, but couldn't find anything recent.

Rochelle Burch(owner/operator) @ Datachrome here in Orange County, CA will process your film to the best possible standards. I can't recommend her enough. E-6 processing IS her business, not just a part of it. Give her a try, tell her I sent you :)

She handles 35mm-->8x10 film, and has a mail-order form downloadable from her lab's website:

The best lab ive used for E-6 is LTI (http://www.lti-lightside.com) in NYC.
They process E-6, C-41 and B&W from 35mm-16x20+ on a Refrema D&D line.
Ive always had perfect results from them and they are great guys to work with.

I always have to recommend North Coast Photographic (http://www.northcoastphoto.com/).

They do an excellent job and fast. I mail out stuff on Monday from GA and it gets to CA and back by Saturday! Gotta love the USPS.

They did recently up their prices on 4x5 chromes but in my comparison shopping the folks that were cheaper were either much smaller operations and probably didn't do much LF, making me worry about their consistency, or had obscene shipping charges or whatever that made their "bargain" price not so great after shipping.

Another vote for Edgar,.....l've lived all over and still send everything to him in Rochester!
