My Beseler 45MXT enlarger is equipped with lens turret. I need to use the standard 4”x4” lens boards. Is there a lens board adapter available?

And where would I find one?

Thanks

Call Beseler(beseler.com). I think there is a spacer between the turret and the lens stage. I assume you need the single board because you have a large diameter lens. You will probably have to order a custom or undrilled board.
Most suppliers have only standard 39 or undrilled boards(freestyle, calumet,b&h). It might be easier to just deal with
Beseler, if they will sell direct.

Good hunting, David

I've emailed Beseler about 6 times with the same request for help. I got this 1 reply advising me to buy an adapter to use larger lenses with the turret. "The catalog # for the lens mount is 8373." Then no response from them after I asked again for help.

This is what it looks like, you should be able to find one on e-bay

I called Beseler. The lensboard adapter assembly is available and in stock. The current price is $86 plus shipping. I have a few places to check for a used one.

Thanks for the info.

Scott and Bill,

Have you got a part number for this?

Have you tried aligning lenses mounted in the turret? I had not success and got rid of mine in favor of individual boards. More of a hassle to change lenses, but I can align them.

Beseler website has the part list and exploded view

I have not tried to algin the lens. I checked the prints for edge-to-edge sharpest and they were OK. My next long session will be focused on calibrating the color head and alignment. The MXT was a recent replacement for an earlier 45M model.
