I have some books - you have some also...
I was wondering whether it could be an idea to share some of their work...
A good place to direct students and others...
Cleaning my house I stumbled over a book with many images by Struss/Perscheid/Käsebier/Steichen and others....
What do you think?

Well - I'll give it a go:
about 100 years ago, an amateur photographer, living in Odense, Denmark (the birth town of HC Andersen) took some rather fine Autochromes. Some of the first color images made in Dk.
All taken between 1912 and 1915.
Name of the photographer: M.N.Topp

Yes, they're wonderful. I immediately flashed on Ibsen. Wrong country, I know -- but the era and setting seem right. Thanks for posting.

The famous Flatiron building in NYC. Steichen photographed it better from an artistic view. Scanned from the 160dpi halftones in King's Views New York, 1905. Individual photographers not credited. Some artifacts from this early printing technique have been cloned out.
