Does anyone know a receipe for a spotone remover? Many years ago in photo school, an instructor had a mixture that would remove spotone from prints in a single swipe of a photo wipe soaked in the solution. I hope this may be familiar to someone. Thanks!

The only thing that comes to mind is a ferricyanide bleach but also looking in Photo Formulary... go here:http://www.photoformulary.com/DesktopModules/StoreProductDetails.aspx?productID=161&tabid=9&tabindex=2&categoryid=38&selection=0&langId=0

I don't understand your question. Spotone is a dye that is used to spot out whites spots. Are you looking for a way to remove Spotone dye that was applied to your print or black spots on your print due to pinholes in your negative?

If you have put down too much spotone, try a weak solution of water and non-suds ammonia on a cotton swab. This will take off the dye. As with anything, try a sample first.
