Does someone have a soft copy of the manual for the Sinar digital shutter and the corresponding control unit ? Got one of these without power supply or accumulator and need to figure out what to feed it. Didn't find anything through Google so far that would point in the right direction.

Key is to find out what voltage this unit runs on. I did figure out polarity of the power plug :)

Thanks in advance for any info,

Look for the "Shutters" document under View Camera Service Manuals. It includes the digital shutter. I don't know if it will answer your question, but that's what there is in print.

Thanks Rick for pointing this out ... I had the document downloaded already a while ago to find the 0905 info for the digital shutter itself missing but the info for the accumulator is still there (0906). 12VDC is all it takes ... easy enough

FWIW, the site owner confirmed he no longer has the Sinar Digital Shutter repair diagrams and related info ... bummer ... now on to the next step and powering this unit up !

Congratulations, Rudi,
The shutter is more accurate than the normal ones.

The harder thing is probably making up a suitable release cable is you do not have that with it ?

If you need the ops manual I'll try and get round to doing a scan this weekend.

Edit

By control unit do you mean module ?

Looking at simular threads found this (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?6348-Sinar-Digital-Shutter-power-battery)

And searching B&H the battery that clips to the rail is still available

Clive

Thanks for the additional input and the battery link to B&H.

I do have a good electronic release cable with the switch/link for the rear frame. I also have the Sync Cable for the digital shutter so I believe I'm all set there.

I do have two modules ;) ... one with the added flash functionaly (missing three obsolete pushbuttons though) and what I believe is a fully functional "standard" control module with buttons and dials.

Would love to get the scan from an ops manual if you have one as I'm starting from scratch ... could be a real time saver ! Thanks in advance.

I can rig up the power supply, that's the easy part ;) although the connector is a non-standard one, I'll add a standard DC power input connector to what's already on the module rear with auto-switching when the plug is in ;)
