The lens on my speed graphic 4X5 has a bad shutter. Where can I buy a new lens or have it repaired? Thanks

Meryl, it depends a little on the shutter (and lens) - but SK Grimes is a good shop. There are others too

They are fixing my third shutter in as many months...

Any lens small enough to fit the lensboard should be okay. I'm sure if you asked at www.graflex.org they could point out anything that might trip you up but basically anything that isn't too big for the lensboard or too long for the bellows will be okay.

Meryl,
What kind of lens/shutter do you have?---If it is a very common example, it might be cheaper to replace it.
Do you like the "look" the lens gives your pictures?---If so, you would want to have it repaired or remounted, OR since you'd have a focal plane shutter in your 'speeder' you could use that instead.
What kind of problems is your shutter giving you? If its sticking, CLA isn't all that expensive, but if it was run over by a truck and needs extensive rebuilding, well......
~Cheers!
