For those that have seen the article titled "Last Bell Factory in America" by R. J. Phil in the current Issue of View Camera Magazine (July/Aug 2012). Here is the followup story on the Bevin Bros. Manufacturing Co. of East Hampton, Conn.

Is it really the last bell factory in America? Check this site out:
http://www.verdin.com/

I was talking on the phone to Mr. Verdin a couple of years ago, about an antique bell (150 years plus) we own, made by the GW Coffin Bells works, one of the early companies they bought out.
Just sayin...

Forgive me a bit of poetic license here. There are other companies that cast bells, as well as others who make some bells as part of a larger product line, but Bevin Bros is the only company that has made only bells since their founding in 1832, and continue in their 6th generation of continuous family ownership. They had also cast bells until about 1980, but the main products are stamped brass and steel bells.
