I am searching for a 600se that is in good shape, but I am not having good luck... Does anyone have any experience with this camera that could point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I recently purchased one on e-b**. I recommend an auction by a recognized commercial store, instead of an individual.

At least you should be sure you have a return grace period. These are not as tough as one would think and the range finders can be way off. They are easy enough to test though...

A beter option, really, is to get a Mamiya Universal with a polaroid back. It has the same rangefinder frailty but gives for the buck many more options: shooting 120 roll film, even sheet film, 6x7 and 6x9 interchangable backs, 50mm, 65mm, 90mm. 100mm, 150mm, and 250mm lenses. Have it brought to spec and enjoy a gem generally overlooked.

By the way, I have owned both types and live by my advice.

Sincerely,
