Give Rochelle Burch @ Datachrome a try. All she does is E-6 processing, and I've never had better service, faster turnaround, or cleaner processing than she provides :). She happily accepts mail-order, and probably is even willing to take yours from Saudi Arabia :)

tell her I sent you, she sees me about 2-3x/month or so

here's her website, she has a downloadable order form on there for mail-order processing

I hadn't heard of DataChrome.
Makes me wish that E100G were still readily available.
Thanks Dan!

Another option is North Coast Photo (http://www.northcoastphoto.com/) (Ken Rockwell's favorite).

Dodge Chrome www.dodgechrome.com in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA, just north of Washington DC.

Excellent professional work. Top quality full-service lab.

They process 4x5, 5x7, and 8x10 sheet film in E-6, C-41, and black&white

Several Saudi photographers send their work to Edgar Praus at http://www.4photolab.com in Rochester, New York, USA. He is familiar with international customers, has clients worldwide.

thanks guys..
I think i will try data-chrome this time. she runs a drum scanner. I will ask her for a scan to compare it with my results from howtek 4500. i think my scanner has a problem.

i am interested to know who still shoots film in Saudi Arabia. We can order stuff together. everybody i know switched when the last lab stopped serving. I now develop my own black and white but getting E6 chemicals is an issue.

FYI, the last time I asked her about drum scans, she said her scanner was having "issues". Can't remember exactly what, you might want to email her, or call her directly and ask. But I'd not count on her being able to offer scans. Hopefully so, but she has an older Colorgetter scanner, which IIRC, is about the same age, if not older, than your 4500...

Be patient while waiting for reply to any inquiries.
Here in the USA, we are finishing a three (3) day, Labor Day, holiday weekend.
Some folks may not get back to you until Wednesday.

good note Marc,

However, I'd guess that Rochelle will be back tomorrow, as she processes E-6 orders for numerous surrounding independent photo stores, a good # of professional photographers still shooting film, and Samy's Orange County store(since they're about 1.5mi away). She was(maybe still is) doing Swan Photo's E-6 processing IIRC, but I seem to recall her saying they were looking to re-introduce their own in-house processing, since their mail-order E-6 was getting more business...

Note that one of the chief editors/photographers for Transworld BMX magazine is still shooting FILM for some things(like covers) too :)

Does Samy's have a price list online? I can't find anything about developing services from their website.

they used to, but they let the site lapse. I was in the Pasadena store the other day, and asked them if they could put a request into the website guy(Samy's is a relatively "small" company vs. B+H for instance) to see if they could put the pricelist online, and make it well known that "SAMY'S DOES PROFESSIONAL FILM PROCESSING!!!" or something like that, and show the pricing and the downloadable order forms(for E-6/B&W/C-41, 35mm-->8x10)

Might take a few of us to convince them ;). So for all of you who've contacted the Santa Barbara store directly via e-mail, you might want to re-send another email requesting this, it might help keep more film flowing into their lab via mail-order. Just an idea

here's their e-mail:

FWIW, Samy's used A&I (also LA based), and A&I no longer does E6, therefore...

However, I am taking my single exposed 5X7 sheet of cut–down (from 8X10) Kodak E100VS to Icon LA (http://online.iconla.com/index.php?show=e_6).

Thanks Dan,

I develop my own C41 and E6 but am backlogged after vacation. I need help! :) I'll give them a shout via email.

After A&I quit doing E6, I started sending my stuff to Samy's lab in Santa Barbara. Harley Goldman uses Samy's, too, and I know he's dropped film off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon.

Samy's has been very responsive, and their mail order service has been excellent.

hi

i bought Tetenal E6 3 bath from ebay to develop my 45 color slides.. using jobo 2820 (2 sheets) and jobo 3006 (6 sheets).. all chemical are pour in at 42 degree C and i hand roll them.. and the timing is roughly 6:16,6,6 but they are longer because i prepare the chemical one by one by heating them in a beaker .. heating took 5-10 min (i didn't time)..

i love the results.. so there is no need to depends on a lab :) anyway there is no more lab doing e6 in Singapore
