I picked up 2 Microtek scanners, they came without any accessories, software or cables. I can not find much of anything on Google. Does anyone have any knowledge about these 2? Are they worth fooling with?

Microtek MRS 800 A-3
Microtek MRS 2014 TD

I got them at a commercial printing shop that went out of business. I also picked up an Epson Perfection 2450.
The Microtek models are heavier and look more robust than the Epson. They also look newer, but that is just my guess.

If anyone is familiar with these models I would really appreciate some advice.

Thanks,
Bill

Didn't you start another thread about these scanners, or at least the 2450? I seem to remember responding to someone who asked about the 2450, perhaps it wasn't you.

Brian, yes I got responses, a lot of information about the Epson Perfection 2450 Photo.
But no one seemed to know much about the Microtek models. I hoped that by putting Microtek in the title that might grab the attention of someone who uses Microtek.
They came from a commercial print shop, so I am really curious. They might be something really special. They are bigger and heavier than the Epson.
I have Googled them and come up with nothing useful.

I'm still curious about these scanners. Does anyone know anything about them? Should I just put up a For Sale post for them?

Contact Microtek - they have al the info you need. They probably also have, or can steer you to a source for cables.

I thought their customer support was nil.
