View Full Version : Any shops that sell sheet film in Frankfurt, Germany?

I'll be passing through Frankfurt in a few days and I could use a box or two of 4x5 color negative film. (I'd prefer Portra 160, but fuji would work too.)

Does anyone know any good shops in town that sell sheet film? It would be a big bonus if the shop were accessible via mass transit.

I have a layover on my way back from Cairo and I hoped to make a few photos in Frankfurt. But it looks like I've blown through all my film :(.

There's no one here from Frankfurt? I found GM Foto but their website doesn't say what they have in stock and they haven't returned my email.

there is not much choice in frankfurt. I'm close by but don't have any film in the fridge.

as martin suggested gm-foto, but I personally don't like them for their attitude.

you could try http://www.sander.de/index.php?sander-frankfurt it is a lab, but back in the days every lab had some stock of film always available.

unfortunately I buy my film online and didn't order any 4x5 the last time, because I mainly shoot 6x7 for book projects.

Fedex was not an option. I was in Cairo when I posted my query and planned to take a few photos in Frankfurt on the way home, but I finished my film on my last day in Egypt. No big deal as the work I was doing in Cairo was really the main purpose of the trip. I got to Frankfurt on Saturday but GM Foto was already closed. For the record, they eventually emailed me back and said they had Portra 400 but no 160.

Anyway I'm home in the US now, but thanks for the suggestions.
