I spent some time at Freestyle yesterday and got a chance to speak with Eric Joseph. Great guy and a huge fan/supporter of us film photographers. He told me that they will be carrying Ortho/Litho film again very soon. Tests have been done and the film is very good. A bit more contrasty than the old stuff. I asked if they would be able to get it in 14x17? He will put some on the order in 25 sheet boxes.

So nice to be able to give input directly to the man who orders everything for Freestyle. Great guy and I was thankful for the time he gave me.

Freestyle is always going to be there for us if we keep the demand for products up. I love supporting them.

They are serious about continuing to serve this market and Eric is a great guy.

Forgive the newbie question, but I was wondering if you might be able to share some of the uses for Ortho/Litho film? I do have a few 4x5 sheets of it still. I bought some so that I could make copies of negatives, but it was a bit frustrating since I would have to use up two sheets to make a negative.

Contrast and un-sharp mask. Articles here (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/unsharp/) and here (http://www.freestylephoto.biz/traditional-processes-contrast-masking)...
