Hi;

Can anyone tell me the filter size for a Schneider APO Symmar f/5.6 210mm. It seems to be somewhere between 67mm and 77mm, my guess is 72mm, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for your help.

Paul,

72mm. See Schneider's website.

This was also answered on page 50 of the Jan/Feb 03 issue of View Camera in part 2 of the Schneider lens article. We've run articles on most of the lenses you will find out there.

I find this more favourable to the L-lens which uses 77mm

http://www.schneideroptics.com/photography/large_format_lenses/apo-symmar-L/pdf/ApoSymmarL_56_210.pdf

I would really like to have 52 or 58mm on ALL of my lenses, as compared to 40.5 on a 90 angulon and 150 apo-gerogon, 52 on 210&240 apo-gerogon, 58 on a 135 anastigmat, 62 on the back of a 305 G-claron and 67 on the front. 67 on a 480 apo-ronar, 72 on the 210 apo-symmar & 77 on a 360 apo-gerogon. So what I need is a 135 and 210 and 450 Fujinon, or just to get over it and start taking pictures again.
