I have a Beseler Dichro 45s head which I use to print black and white. I have the 4x5 mixing chamber. Sometimes I print 35mm and medium format with this head. The exposure times are quite long with these smaller formats. Beseler used to make mixing chambers for 35mm and medium format. Does anyone know the part mumbers for these items?

I am told there is a condenser accessory for this head. Does anyone use this? Aside from making me more handsome, how will the condenser help me?

I spent a half hour on the phone with Beseler trying to get answers to these questions, but in vain.

I will appreciate any help.

David

I don't know the part numbers but I bought, for something like $100, a 35mm mixing chamber for my 45MXT with the Beseler/Minolta color head. Beseler said it would cut exposure times in half. That sounded good and I was very pleased with my purchase until it dawned on me that I could have cut exposure times in half just by opening up a stop.

Here are the catalog numbers for your different chambers ...
6x7 - #8292, 35mm - #8291, and condenser chamber - #8204
And here's a link to the manual, which lists those parts, and may be of interest to you as well ...

The condenser chamber is more likely to make you older, if it means having more dust to spot out.
