Hi,I just picked up a rodenstock 240 apo sironar s in a copal 3.I need to mount it in the lensboard on a tachihara 8x10 double extension. It comes with a spacer but after looking at it I'm not certain I need it.If I don't,it looks like I would have to relieve a small hole to accomodate the aperature stop screw.Does anyone have any suggestions ? Thanks,William

William,

The spacer is used on cameras with smaller lensboards. like a Technika board, so that the shutter controls won't foul the front standard. If you're using a larger board, you probably won't need the spacer, just make sure the retaining ring will work without it. But there's no real reason not to use the spacer, even with a larger board.

Thanks!
