Hi all
I have been using a 35" red dot artar serial #8362... in an F2 Sinar (40 inches of bellows), the results are superb but lens is huge but it's all aluminum flange (2,55 lbs total weight) and have no dust or cleaning marks when looked through light. My 2 tripods set up is a bit hard for me sometimes and I am thinking about selling it or trading in the future ( no ebay) but cant' find not much info about the $ value of such lens. I read many many threads about 19" 20"or 30 " lenses. Does anyone know what would be a fair market value of it. Your answers will be appreciated.
Regards
Pierre

Put it on Ebay with good photos and a clear description.
The final bid will tell you the current market value.

I missed the "no ebay" bit on first glance. You'll probably have your biggest and best audience there, but I wouldn't let one go for less than $1500. You could probably get over 2k on Ebay.

I think CDs estimate is high, especially in the current depressed market, but I hope for the sake of the OP that I'm wrong.

Good point.
Just because i've seen them sell for that in the past doesn't mean it will today.
It doesn't mean that it won't either. :)

Seems high to me also. 35" Artars aren't that rare. I let my (non red dot) 35" go for around 500 a couple of years ago. My pristine 47 1/2" Red Dot Artar bought a year ago on Ebay was around the 1K mark and that's a far less common lens.

One Dollar. thats how much I got mine for in a scrap yard where there was a Robertson Process Camera sitting. The owners said "We don't deal with no glass, Gimee a buck" I gave him a buck for Real Ground glass on the back.

I sold my 35" red dot (barrel) on the forum for $750 about 5 years ago, and the market has been a roller coaster in the last five years, but it was not snapped up instantly at that price.

I'll give you $20 US.

It would go to a good home... Namely, me.

Huh? It sold for 162.50, you're a day late and more than a dollar short.
