I thought I would share my home made design. Everything was purchased at the hardware store. Works great. Total investment four bucks. The brass hardware on the finder are the caps for a lamp. The springs and brass rods are from a dish wall hang kit, cut and bent to size.

Great. I just picked up a bunch of binocular viewers and this gives me some ideas on how to mount those. Thanks for posting.

John,

That's ingenious. Does it foul the bail arm when in use or do you have to detach it again before inserting the film holder?

I'd love to know as I have a Calumet cc402 and prefer not to use a darkcloth as they flap a lot...I live in windy Ireland.

Nice work John. Poor old Cambo T20s - they must be more often modified than not, I reckon. In fact, I am about to put one to the knife myself very shortly :)

Hi George, no problem at all when loading film holders since the the two ends remain stationary. Since the brass hooks are attached to the stationary pins, everything stays secure, and only the bail springs flex. I was originally going to use rubber bands, but then I spotted the plate hanging kit, and the idea just all came together. It is very solid. Once she's on, you can do whatever you want. I bought two packs of plate hanging kits and made extra spring retainers for the field just in case. I must confess though, the second kit put my budget close to six bucks.

I love the Cambo finders. I'm now modifying another one for my Keith twin lens 4X5.
