I'm keen to learn how photographers here store prints (economically) in high humidity places where they live. My area is averaging around rh 75% and I see mold growth on some of my prints. Any suggestions is appreciated.

How does one remove mold growth from prints anyway? Thanks.

A friend of mine, who lived in Costa Rica for several years, had one room where he had installed a dehumidifier (a unit on wheels) and he kept everything sensitive to humidity in there, photographs, lenses, tea... the room needs to be closed nearly all the time, of course.

I had lots of mold problems when I lived for years in Japan. I found that if I kept all my prints in my living room which was air conditioned most of the time, mold was eliminated. Check out this website. It should help you. http://yesteryearmemories.com/photo_damage_from_mold_mildew.asp
