Does anyone know if Calumet actually made a reflex hood for the CC series?

Never saw one, or even an ad for one. I don't know how it would have attached to the back, either. Perhaps Mr. Gittings would know; he used Calumets professionally even longer than I did. Calumet did make a compendium hood for the front, though.

There is a guy selling a CC kit on ebay . The kit includes a reflex viewer that he says is original and mounts to the back securely. He provides a nice picture of the viewer but I can't figure out how it would mount. I use my Cambo viewer in the field with my CC402. I just hold it against the back. I would prefer a viewer that mounts on to the back. I have a feeling the viewer he has is a custom piece. There would be some info somewhere about it. But hey, if it works, it would be great.

Very interesting. It looks identical to the one in the kit. I don't see how one finder can fit both Calumet CC series and Cambo cameras, two very different backs.

Me either, John,
I worked for Calumet at the factory, East. Div. Mgr., and West. Div Mgr. in the 1960's and early 70's. I recommended a mirror flap it but nobody noticed, at the time I was the only photographer in the company. My original Graflex VC's had a mirror flap on the back and I really loved it. That is really valuable when the camera is at a high angle.

My finder arrived today. It is fine, although only two mounting clips are useable, the top and bottom. But it is solid and the mirror flap is beautiful. The glass is missing from the binocular (diopter?) so i need to replace it. The side mounting clips have me puzzled. There is no way for the clips to attach.
