How much is the film costing you nowadays?

Have you had any trouble sourcing LF film?

hmmmm. search any of the usual vendors, they're practically giving it away.

Ilford HP-5+/FP-4+, $90/25 from Badger Graphic
Arista.eduUltra 100, $120/50 from Freestyle
X-ray film, about $28/100 from CRX (or izzit CXR?)
Kodak, $forgeddaboutit/10 if you can find it.

cxs is the xray film vendor.

I've got a bunch of Kodak 8x10 in the freezer I bought for between $54/10 and $63/10. It's worth it at that price, but it's getting harder to justify at $8ish a sheet. You can get tri-x at B&H for the lower price. Get it while you can.

I got a bunch of the arista/foma 100 from freestyle in the freezer too that John has mentioned.

I guestimate $1 in chemistry to develop, and then another $1 for a printfile sleeve and quicky vc-rc contact print for reference.

I use mostly Ilford 100 Delta for which my cost are $3.86 per sheet delivered.

I develop 2 sheets at a time using Xtol 1:1 and TF-5 in a Jobo CPA-2 processor. My developing cost are 39 cents/sheet, 22 cents for Print file Negative Preserver sheet, and 50 cents per contact sheet. Add another 10 to 15 cents for Dektol and Citric Acid to process the paper for a total cost of about $1.25 to process each sheet of 8x10 film.

My total cost per sheet comes to $3.86 + $1.25 or $5.11 every time I release the shutter.

What are you paying for film? Or what would you want to pay?

About 65¢ a sheet. Pyrochatechol probably ads another nickel. But ya get what ya pay for. My pictures are crummy, so there you go.

x-ray green-sensitive 8x10 film for about $0.27 each. Developed with Rodinal.

Costs me less than 4x5 TMX so I use my 8x10 for less serious stuff, when I just want to shoot some but not use my expensive film.
