Anyone interested in a 5x7 Delta 100 group buy. The minimum order is 16 boxes, I am assuming 100 sheet boxes like last time. I am good for 2 boxes.

Yes. What was the cost last time?

mdm
23-Apr-2012, 11:34
Might have been around $160 but I would expect it to higher than that, 100 sheets of FP4 would be about $190 at the moment. If there is enough interest and we all contacted Jeff at Badger, we could make it happen.

I will commit for 2 boxes.

That only gets us to 5 or 6 boxes. 10 more to go. Any other 5x7 shooters out there using up film?

The last batch of 100 sht box of 5x7 delta 100 I bought from Badger for $156 really good deal. Want to wait to see what Ilfords new run has to offer.

mdm
24-Apr-2012, 13:51
Ok, here is the deal. $152/100 sheet box shipped direct from a supplier in NY, 6-10 week turnaround on shipping. Minimum order is 10 boxes. Please PM me and I can pass on contact details for the supplier. 10 boxes is the goal, I will stretch to 4 if I have to.

Delta 100 is one of the nicest films around and the price is good. It may not be a stock film but group buys seem to fly on a regular basis, so its safe to get used to it. Scans beautifully and also makes very nice analog alt prints. You are mad not to jump on a couple of boxes.

I'm interested. Probably no more than 2 boxes at this stage.

3 people have PM'd me and I have forwarded contact details for the supplier. We have reached 10 boxes already so if you all make contact and pay its happening.

Anyone else interested? You cant even get 100 sheets of shanghai to the states for that price.

Thanks
David

Ilford will commence their annual special 2012 ULF production this coming this coming Friday. According to Simon Galley they will offer Delta 100 Pro in six sizes, including 5x7. You can read about it over on APUG:

http://www.apug.org/forums/forum37/104695-2012-ilford-ulf-specialist-custom-film-manufacture-2.html

in post #11. The actual pre-announcement is in the first post in that thread. This program allows you to buy just one box, no need for a special group buy.

There's no mention of pricing, if history holds it will appear in Friday's announcement.

I just may have to buy some to see what all the fuss is about...

So, this group order is now redundant?

Steve Goldstein
25-Apr-2012, 03:45
Maybe. I'm not sure how it works for folks who don't have an in-country distributor. One of the things that makes this work is that Ilford require you to order through a limited number of sales points (they publish a list). I know at least some of them will ship internationally, but being in the US myself, with US distributors, I've never given it much mind. Best to check the real announcement on APUG this Friday.

At $1.50 +/- per sheet... you folks are gonna talk me into shooting B&W 5x7. When is the deadline?

mdm
25-Apr-2012, 10:15
The turnaround is very long on the ULF order. They make it in the 2nd week of August and there is at least 4 weeks to get it to the distributors who then move it to retailers who ship to you, so you are looking at October. 5 month turnaround v 6 to 10 weeks. I have sent an email to badger asking the price for the ULF order.

5 month turnaround v 6 to 10 weeks.

Make sure this is a commitment rather than just an estimate, that Harman isn't going to hold all special orders received now until the August production period, for production efficiency.

Pricing available your Monday, my Tuesday. It wont be less than $152/box, shurely. So if anyone is still interested PM me for contact details of the supplier.

Hi Guys,
My company is handling the 5x7 Delta special order.

We are close to the minimum needed to place it. Currently we have 6 boxes accounted for, we need another 4 to place it (we can order any qty above the 10).

The pricing for the 2012 ULF order is expected on Monday. Anything placed with the ULF order will take at least 3 months if not more to get to the US.
This is a special order that should take 6-8 weeks for us to receive then distribute it.`

If you are interested in taking part in this order or the 2012 ULF, please email me through the board for more information.

Best Regards,
Ian Mazursky

We now have 9 boxes accounted for, 1 more to go! If there is anyone on the fence about ordering, we only need one box to place the order.

Also just received the new 2012 ULF price list. Ilford has increased the price of every ULF product significantly (excludes this order of Delta 5x7).
I will post the updated list to my site soon.

Yes. Based on past experience and on Harman's proposed schedule for this year, the ULF special order period stuff will likely show up between mid-September and early October.

Please contact Ian with your details and stump up with the money if you actually want film. While we have the minimum already a number of people who indicated their interest have not made contact with him yet.

Hi Guys,

I have been in contact with most of the people who have expressed interest in this special order.
We now have enough paid orders to proceed. I will be placing the order with Ilford on Friday.
I will let everyone know as soon as we have a confirmed ETA for the film. I expect 6-8 weeks after they confirm the order.

If anyone hasn’t contacted me who wants a box, please PM or email (ian@PrePressExpress.com) me as soon as possible.
I might be able to add to the order early on Monday but that’s cutting it close (Ilford may or may not accept the addition).

Those wanting to pay by a money order or check, please contact me ASAP. I will be stocking a few extra boxes, some are already allocated.

Thanks to everyone for making this order happen so fast and easy!!
Best Regards,
Ian

P.S. We received the 2012 ULF price list today. There are price increases on all ULF and some LF films.
If you would like a copy of our prices, please PM or email (ian@PrePressExpress.com) me.

I'm out because I won't have any cash in have for a week... and not as much as I want in three weeks. I've bought too many other things recently. ;)

Any news on the order?

mdm
14-Jun-2012, 00:04
I believe they accepted the order on the 10th of May and Ian was expecting the film to arrive in 6-8 weeks for shipping. So fingers crossed it will be soon. I would not be surprised if they waited to cut it until after the 22nd of June when the ULF order closes though.

Hi Guys,

Status update on the DP100 5x6 order.
I have spoken a number of times with our US distributor, they have indicated that the film has been in the process of being cut and boxed.
We are now just waiting to be assigned a shipping carton number. Once we have that, we will have a firm delivery date to our offices.
The tentaive delivery date to the distributors warehouse is the second week in July.
They also let me know that we should be getting about 10-15 additional boxes over what was ordered.
It was a change in the minimum quantities only mentioned after we had paced it. So if anyone needs an extra box or two, please let me know.

Thanks again!

Hi Guys,
Great news!! Around 15 boxes made it into an earlier shipping container. We should be receiving them on Monday or Tuesday.
The rest should come in a few weeks. While its not enough boxes for all of the orders, i will fill as many as we can.

Emails will go out as when they are boxed and ready to ship.

Thanks!!

We should them by Friday afternoon. All orders that have been placed but not sent should ship out Monday.
If anyone would like some, we will have 8 boxes that aren’t spoken for. This will be first come first serve.

Yes, I am not shure what has happened to mine, it is languishing somewhere this side of customs, expecting it next week. Just in time, nearly finished my last box. Thanks for putting it all together. I think we have moved quite a few boxes and hopefully any new users will like it and keep using it. Its my favourite and I hope it will one day be a stock item, maybe even in place of fp4.
