View Full Version : Leather stap for kodak 2d.... Where to find replacements
Any idea where i might find a leather strap to fix the missing one on my camera?
I had a local shoe repairman make one for an Ansco 8x10. Not perfect, but it works beautifully. All you need is some sort of template from an origianl strap.
I use a local custom leather and saddlery store and they'll make anything. Find any local place that sells and repairs saddles and/or motorcycle leathers. As Tim mentions--just bring an old handle they can use as a template.

Along the same idea as shoe repair - trunk & grip repair. (suitcase and steamer trunk grips, not photo/movie grips)
Make some phone calls to higher-end luggage, attache case, and custom leather portfolio suppliers/repairers in your area..

The Deardorff handles on ebay look nice, and I believe they give instructions on how to remove the rear frame and take the bent rivets out.

I had a leather strap for a Deardorff and a 2D made at a shoe repair shop.
