I have an lpl 4550 enlarger and a decent lens for 35mm, but cannot get the focus properly. Seems I may need something that fits on the enlarging head that allows to focus, and hoping that someone he may know what it is I need. Cheers

No, it ought to focus just as it is. There is a lot of range available from the focusing mechanism, don't be afraid to crank it in and out.
You may need another light box/reflector to get reasonable exposure times.

If you're using a 50mm enlarging lens, you need to flip the lens mount and reattach the lens so that it's a recessed mount rather than a projecting mount. Don't worry - it's designed to be reversible and will mount securely to the lens standard either way.

Ya, what Oren said....

If you find that the printing times are long, there is a 35mm mixing chamber that helps with that.
