New search function

On the old search function I could specify one or more forum (For Sale, Lenses & Accessories, etc.) and only search within those. The new search function seems to have deleted this functionality. Or am I missing something? Getting 12 pages of hits when I should be able to narrow it by searched forum down to maybe one is frustrating.

Also, is there any way to use Boolean operators? It seems like search always uses OR, again giving me 10x the hits it could had I been able to use AND.

Thanks! I tried to use the bloody new search function to find posts on the subject of the new search function, but the darn new search aggravated me too much to do a complete search.
