Based on some information I received at the recent PhotoPlus Expo in NYC, it seems that this photo-to-canvas-transfer process is a huge hit with the art community. I understand the process, but I don't quite understand why it would not be any cheaper or better just to scan an image and then print with an Epson 7600/9600 directly onto canvas. Can anyone vouch for the quality of a canvas-transfer vs. an inkjet-on-canvas print ?

Do we really have to read all the groups out there to ask a question?

No, just the ones that are relevant to the question.

no....Alan is right....and I did re-post this on the Digital Darkroom forum where it belongs...I think. Interestingly, the issue crosses both digital printing AND framing/mounting/exhibiting areas.
