I have seen several adapter backs on ebay that let you use Hasselblad, Mamiya, and other med format backs on your 4x5. They appear to have a focusing screen and you can move between the screen and the back to take
pictures. Has any one had any experience with these
James, what camera are you wanting to use a roll film back with?
I have experience with the Horseman roll film backs, Mamiya and Arca Swiss (re-branded Horseman backs). I am unfamiliar with what seems to be you are describing a sliding back for use with a roll film magazine. I use a sliding back on an Arca M Line 2 and a digital back. Can you post a link to one on the auction site?

thanks
Jim
Jim, I have an Ebony S as well. What I used in the past (sold it) was the wonderful Ebony 45 > 6x9 back. Here is a picture of it on a RSW I use to have. As you can see, it has a focusing screen that moves out of the way to install a Horseman style roll film back. I think you can order one from Badger or Midwestphoto.
