Here ya go. This is a free down load of the instructions and also the code book. I believe the Code book shows every piece for Sinar system at that time.

http://www.butkus.org/chinon/sinar/sinar.htm

BTW- You would figure most things out on your own but it can't hurt to have this info on file.

Louis, the files on the Butkus site are catalogs, not instruction manuals (except for the shutter manual). Still good to have, of course. But they don't, for example, explain how to use the markings on the ground glass for tilt controls, not that I ever really found that more useful than my old way of working.

I don't remember where I got my instruction manual--maybe somebody sent it to me. I can't find it online in any case.

The ground glass markings only apply to cameras with asymmetric rear tilt/swing, i.e the P, X, and C series.

On F-series cameras those marks are just marks, with no functional significance.

The manual will tell you how to use the depth-of-field indicator.
I (and others) can provide those instructions if you can't find a manual.
It's easier to understand when you have the illustrations of the feature in use.

I dunno. In the manual, it sure provides a procedure that uses those marks for the F-series cameras. And those markings sure enough appear on the screen supplied with an F-series camera.

OK. I stand corrected. Sorry for the mis-information.

Oh, oh, could you PLEASE send me this manual also?
I just got my f2 kit, and have downloaded all I could find, but as was pointed out here, it is NOT the instruction manual.
Heh, last night, I FINALLY DID get it all assembled, AFTER discovering that the bellows does NOT flush mount entirely all the way around?
Or does it? I will have to take pics and show what I see...

PM me on Friday. I have limited bandwidth, and it's a 10MB attachment.

hi

i found this: http://di.hexagram.ca/files/manuals/cameras/sinar_introductionmanual.pdf

and this: http://www.sinar.ch/en/infos/depth-of-field

The latter explains the the depth of field instruction in page 12 of the former in a much better way.

In page 11 of the former (http://di.hexagram.ca/files/manuals/cameras/sinar_introductionmanual.pdf
), there is "Locating the plane of sharpness with the SINAR f2 and f1". I don't understand it at all. There are lots of good illustrations but the text do not reference them. It really make things difficult.

If any of you can provide a better explanation, plese do so. It will be very appreciated.

I own a Sinar F by the way, I only saw Sinar F1 in the manual, not sure if Sinar F requires another manual

Not sure if this helps, but I managed to find an older manual for Sinar f, Sinar p and Sinar c and I've uploaded it to my flickr account. Here is a set of photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/morozgrafix/sets/72157632496860037/with/8372573088/

I have a Sinar instruction manual that covers the f1, f2, c2, and p2, but not the f+ specifically:

Hey, guys. This is my first post here, having just bought my first LF camera -- a Sinar F+.

Ken, check your email.

Could I get a copy of that, by any chance?

I am looking for a manual for a Sinar F. Specfically, I am looking for instructions for using the bellows clip part 473.31

I am looking for a manual for a Sinar F. Specfically, I am looking for instructions for using the bellows clip part 473.31

The bellows clip snaps to the corner of a bellows frame and then slides over a hex rod. You need two—one for the frame at each end of the bellows.

I don’t have the manual handy, but it doesn’t go into more detail than that. I can post pictures on Monday.
