And developing time. There are not many information on digitaltruth for sheets.

I'm wondering the same thing, just exposed 8 sheets. Was thinking of trying Pyrocat HD, any thoughts?

For sheets I don't know but it should be the same emulsion... and I've shot a lot of 120 Acros.

My favourite devs for it are Rodinal 1+50 (huge resolution, sharp grain) and Xtol 1+1 (ultra smooth, good speed even with rotary dev). D76 is OK unless you want to do rotary development, in which case you lose at least a stop of speed.

Hypercat II is very good. According to Ryota Itoh, times are different for different formats. Here's what he wrote me in a message:

Ryotah Itoh:

I modified your recipe. Instead of sodium carbonate for solution B, I use potassium carbonate. This is same as Pyrocat-HD you know. Conditions about film development were described below;

Dilution: A:B: water = 1:1:100

Temp: 24C

Time:
8 min 30 sec. for Neopan 100 ACROS (135 film)
7 min for Neopan 100 ACROS (120 roll)
5 min for Neopan 100 ACROS (4x5 sheet)

Agitation: 30times for 1 minute initial, 4times for 8 sec/min

I can't argue with his results.

+ for Rodinal 1+50, 13.5 mins, inversion.

I rotary process Acros in Xtol 1:1 for 9.75 minutes @ 68F.

I like HC-110, dilution H, 9 minutes at 21˚C.

5 minutes seems incredibly skimpy for any film/developer combination aimed at fine art work. Barely longer than a presoak and little to no room for contraction.

There are many options for increasing development time, including:

Decreased developer concentration

Decreased agitation frequency

Decreased processing temperature

Or some combination of the above.

I don't think there's any important correlation between development time and artistic content. Mr. Itoh's work speaks for itself, and I've developed films as quickly as 45 seconds without compromising image quality.

Do any of you do Stand developing?

Yes (Semi), Rodinal 1+100, Inversion, First 60 secs then 1 each at 15, 30 & 45 mins.

9:00 (rotary) at 20C for rolls. I've never shot Acros in sheets because it's unusually expensive for a B&W emulsion despite being interestingly cheap in 120. When I need good reciprocity for LF night shots, I just use TMY2.
