Hello,
I am looking for recommendations on projectors for Powerpoint presentations. It must be mac compatible (macbook Air specifically). Other requirements are light/compact/portable and bright/good image quality. I prefer something with a "reasonable" price tag, whatever that means. The use is for business-type presentations.
I searched the site and didn't come up with much. Thanks for any input.

Epson PowerLite 4200.
Just purchased one. It's effin rad.
I consider ~$2500 reasonable though since we're using it during portfolio reviews, etc.

Just took delivery of a Panasonic PT-LB2VU. It seems pretty excellent so far. It is almost the same length x width as my 11" Macbook Air, but thicker. It weighs a reasonable 5 lbs. To connect with the Mac I use an Apple adapter to go from mini-DV to VGA.
Ran some test Powerpoint slides on it, and the brightness and sharpness are excellent. I am using it for standard business/sales type presentations. I also did a slideshow using iPhoto which included some videos, and everything looks good.
Ordered from our friends at B&H, who had the item in stock, at the lowest price I could find online. Two day free shipping was awesome. I live 2.5 hrs from NYC, so shipping from B&H for me has always been excellent.

This article I did is a bit dated now because there are newer versions of DLP projectors that might be better than what we tested, but you might some useful info here:
