View Full Version : Fuji P-145 film holder won't fit on Sinar P camera

Has anybody experienced this. I have 2 Sinar studio cameras, a P-expert, and a newer F model. The P-145 instant-film back (for the smaller pack films) will not slide all the way in, because the fat end of the film back hits the outside frame of the back standard.

Very frustrating.

I think on many Sinars, you have to remove the GG/back assembly, and use the Graflok/Universal back.
The P-145 replaces the GG assembly and is held by the camera's clamps.

Nope, that doesn't work either, as the fat end of the film holder bumps into the outside of the rear frame of the camera and doesn't allow seating. This is regardless of whether you use the ground glass spring back, or the Graflok clamps.

hi Gene

I also had this problem
my solution was to remove the metal strip on the side of the sinar frame
the bit with the slot in it
if you dont then it pushes the holder away and lets in light and puts the film out of focus

its easy to to unscrew and goes strait back on if you dont like it

good luck
