Looks like Manfrotto Magic Arms with Super Clamps on each end.

To reference B&H:
Two of these http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/325444-REG/Manfrotto_244N_244N_Variable_Friction_Magic.html

and four of these http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/546356-REG/Manfrotto_035RL_035RL_Super_Clamp_with.html

EDIT: the tripod head looks like the big Manfrotto #400 geared head (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/554090-REG/Manfrotto_400_400_Deluxe_Geared_Head.html)

I use one Magic arm with superclamps at the ends to stabilize my 500 telephoto on my Ebony45SU. It is a great aid and not hugely expensive.

Also, as with most grip equipment, if you have these things on hand, you'll start finding all sorts of other uses for them.

Wow, these really seem to be a great piece of kit - especially for that price!

Thanks David and Ed!

Hello. I've found something like this on Yahoo Japan auction. However, it's expensive. It's approximately $300.

. . . Oh Great!
Now you've made me go and buy a Friction Magic Arm and two Super Clamps. I really wish you people would quit discussing cool "stuff" that I most certainly will probably need (like with my Schneider 5.6 300 on my Shen Hao IIA 4x5).

Sheesh!

I've got a couple of magic arms and super clamps, but never thought of using them this way, not that I've ever had that much extension going on.

The largest Arca telescopic rails are 80cm (telescoping to 120cm) and 100cm (telescoping to 150cm). Which one do you figure this is? I'm thinking that the rear bellows is the Arca long bellows (70cm). And what is the apparatus on top of the front function carrier that appears to replace a standard?

It seems that it's a 80 cm telescopic rail but with longer upper parts. The lens looks really like a 1100 mm XLS; if it's focused at infinity, it gives a scale. The front function carrier is an M-Line one. The apparatus on top of it is probably a spacer (height enhancer). But it could be a customized spacer as the one sold by Arca is shorter and thicker. You can see more details of the camera (in a different combo) here : http://jonasmekasfilms.com/diary/?p=943.
The back used on the roof in India looks bigger than a 8x10 one, which means that it would be a customized one.

I thought that back looked like a 16x20, or an 11x14 in vertical position.

Sheesh! They grabbed me too. More incentive to get back to work on my little long lens camera of nothing at all.

I'm very happy to be aware of the devices.

Thanks Dominique. I have to have a look at my 8x10 when I get home. The back standard on this camera is pretty clearly bigger than 8x10, presumably custom made to fit an Arca function carrier. If that's true, the intermediate standard looks to me like it may be an Arca 8x10 standard. The bellows would be custom throughout.

If that Gitzo tripod is carbon fiber, as it appears to be, it's interesting because when I bought my magic arms and super clamps, I was advised not to use them directly on my Gitzo carbon fiber legs. That struck me as good advice, but it looks like Polidori is doing so without difficulty.

and having used those magic arms, and tons of other grip equipment, I wanted to make you guys aware of matthews Teenie Weenie grip gear. I think the items on this page would be lighter and more versatile solution that could be customized with rods purchased at the hardware store or film tools.
Using the mini cardellini clamps, mini grip heads and the rods with connectors, a very strong camera/lens support could be made.

That Polidori setup looks flimsy to me. The whole setup is on one tripod and much of the vibration comes from the tripod. Using two tripods clamped together, possibly using the clamps mentioned above would be a better approach. Mount the camera on the connecting bar between the two tripods. Use the bungee chord wrapped tightly around the tripod legs technique to pre stress the tripod which reduces the leg displacement vibration by increasing the mechanical resonant frequency of the legs.
