I recently purchased a 45AII. It arrived without the tripod bushing. I am unable to determine th thread size on the camera. Measuring with an inside caliper I get almost 1/2 inch but I am thinking that the thread size is actually 5/8. Can anyone confirm this for me and point me where I can obtain one. The Toyo website does not list anything.

Should be 3/8", most qr plates are avail in that size too, or just get the 1/4" bushing.

My 45A has a round chrome plate, about 1 1/2" diameter, with a 1/4 -20 tripod hole in it. It has a round vinyl circle covering the screws that hold this round plate to the body. Are you missing this chrome plate, or just the threaded insert, or is there a 3/8" insert and you want a 1/4" insert?

I am missing the threaded insert. It's just an open hole. I need the Toyo bushing that threads into it in which I can further reduce to 3/8 or 1/4 inch. I have seen it in pictures but the Toyo website shows nothing.

B&H has a tripod screw bushing listed on their website.

Not sure it's the one you need, but worth looking into.

Call the number below and ask for parts. Tell them you need a schematic for the AII and you will be able to get the exact part number from that. Cheapest route from my experience.

Good luck

I was able to have this place point me to the right people to order the exact same part you are looking for. Mine was stripped out and I was able to replace it.

Good Luck

I have a PDF of a scanned 45A owner's manual at the link below if anyone can make use of it. It is large (~60mb), so I don't think a dial-up connection is going to work, it will be available for the next week or so, the domain where it is hosted expires next week and I won't be renewing it.

I optimized the 45A manual for size and it's now only 8mb.

Thanks. These schematics and a call to Toyo ought to do it!!!!!
