This weekend I installed flash sync on the shutter mounted in my 8x10 Kodak 2D. This system is based on a system that I created about a year ago using a low force microswitch on a 5-inch diameter packard shutter, which was mounted in a 8x10 Century studio camera. Both systems were wired with the 1/8-inch mono plugs used with PocketWizard radio frequency triggers.

The photos below show the installation in my 8x10 Kodak 2D. If you interested in the microswitchs and how I built a high reliability actuation mechanism, go here (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=69571).

Photo 1: finished installation showing 1) the 3-1/2-inch diamter Packard shutter mounted in the camera, 2) the pneumatic hose that actuates the shutter on the left, and 3) a 1/8-inch right-angle plug that is plugged into jack mounted in the face of the camera.

Photo 2: same as Photo 1, except with the plug removed from the jack and showing the jack installed on the face of the camera.
