M & X setting on Komura 210 / 6.3

I am new to LF and I just purchased a used Omega 45E. It came with a Commercial Komura 210 / 6.3 lens. There is toggle to switch between M and X. I have no idea what this means. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

M is flash synch (delay) for M-speed flash bulbs; X is the synch (no delay) for electronic strobes.
