VLS 501 vs MG-filters for L1200

Hello experts!,

Just curious, the colour of the light from my VLS 501-head is very different from the colour from my MG-filters using my condenser-head. However the contrast is almost the same when printing on MGIV-paper.
Low contrast MG-filters are reddish and low contrast VLS-light is yellow.....Can anyone explain that???.:)

the filters use subtractive colors and the VLS utilizes additive colors.
There is not room here to fully explain the difference between additive and subtractive colors. I have always leaned toward additive.
