Hi Everyone
I have an Epson 4800 that has started to jam paper. It's not the print head - because it jams even when I eject the paper.. I was playing around with some of the settings on the front of the printer, and maybe I did something incorrect.
Anyway, I returned everything to the initial settings but it's still jamming. Just before this happened, I noticed very faint lines on the print in the direction of the print travel. I have a feeling something is scraping or too tight.
Anyway, where would the best place be to ask a question on how to fix this myself on one of the web forums.
To get at techie from Tel Aviv from Epson will cost about $250 for just one hour! (they charge an two hours transport and an hours work)
So before I start in on this, I'd like to try myself.
Thanks everyone!

Try a wider platen gap. Changing that setting is in the owner's manual.

see if you can find out how to do a reset to all default settings. I think..... I haven't owned a 4800 in some years....you turn off the printer.....then...hold the power button and the pause button together, it will enter factory reset mode....not positive though.
