hey all,

i will be adding videos of all the lenses i have to my youtube account. i will also make videos of the different cameras as well. i hope it will become a place where people will go to see antique cameras and lenses. hopefully when people google specific lenses they will find my site and gain knowledge and info they seek.

i would appreciate any help with video editing. i want to try and do some basic editing to make the videos better. i am on a learning curve so please help if you can. i am using a PC right now.

check it out :

i will try and add at least 1 video per week but will try for many more than that. lets see how this goes.

thanks

Eddie,

Just make sure you're homeowner's insurance covers any/all losses, they might/could use these videos as evidence of "luring" if you have a break-in, and find some/all of them gone :(...

just sayin... A good friend of mine made a video of a Nikon D700 he was selling, and put the video link in his C-List listing... The thieves put 2 and 2 together(since his youtube name was his actual name, and he put his actual city on the listing for item location, well, his homeowners WOULD have covered him IF he didn't post that video. But since he posted it, they said they weren't liable to cover the damage/replacement cost because of this little bugaboo...

sad day for him, (4) G-series Nikon lenses, (2) camera bodies, and 3 laptops in the house also grew legs and walked away, I'm not even going to go into the jewelry and china missing too, all from (1) break in...

just sayin...

make sure you have a nice fireproof gun safe to keep those lenses in, and make sure its BOLTED to the floor...

I would suggest your friend contact the California (or whichever) Insurance Regulators office. File a complaint- it can't hurt.

A large chunk of that video is missing audio. Is it supposed to be like that? I didn't notice it fade out or in.
Other than that, good camera porn!

Yeah. It sucked to have the same audio as it was real choppy on the fades. It was only 39 seconds long and was just not working. I gotta improve my collection of clips. I was using stock stuff. more better stuff to come. this was day one with my new gear....:)

Thanks

So now I can hear about the optician T.Slater's sold landscape lens.
You didn't find on Google that he had other interests, including a type of " spirit stereo imaging"?

"Like the rise of modern Spiritualism, this new development was predicted from the Other Side. In 1856 Mr. Thomas Slater, an optician, residing at 136 Euston Road, London, was holding a seance with Lord Brougham and Mr. Robert Owen, when it was rapped out that the time would come when Mr. Slater would take spirit photographs. Mr. Owen remarked that if he were in the spirit world when that time came he would appear on the plate. In 1872, when Mr. Slater was experimenting in spirit photography, he is said to have obtained on a plate the face of Mr. Robert Owen and also that of Lord Brougham."

Perhaps he was using this very lens?

I'd suggest he talk with a lawyer and consider filing a law suit against the insurance company for willfully and fraudulently avoiding payment of an insurance claim. I've never heard of an insurance company legally avoiding payment of a theft claim solely because the owner used youtube as an advertising vehicle. There's either more to this story than we're getting here or California has some unusual insurance laws.

eddie, I am curious who is playing cello of that Bach great "Cello Suites"?

They are my favourite Bach's works together with Partitas & Sonatas for Solo Violin and Kunst der Fuge.
