I'd like to buy a viewer, but the linhof are very expensive.
Looking for in ebay, i've this ones http://www.ebay.es/itm/New-Zoom-Viewfinder-4x5-6x12-6x17-Large-Format-Camera-/270582159498?pt=Film_Cameras&hash=item3efff4188a
Anyone knows?
Thanks in advance
I bought one back in my "chasing silver bullets" days, when I thought it would work better than a piece of cardboard with a 4x5 hole in it.
It works OK as a viewfinder, but, has a lot of barrel distortion.
They're also bigger than they look. The 'dial' is about 2" in diameter, as I recall (It's at home and I'm not).

I just received mine today and can confirm that it does have a lot of barrel distortion but while I've not yet had the chance to try it in the field I think it will do the job. The dial movement has a nice positive feel and clicks into each focal length. I got the 90-210 version which fits my focal lengths perfectly. As Wally mentioned, bigger then they look with a roughly 2" diameter dial but it should still fit comfortably in a coat pocket.

Thanks, maybe i'll buy one
Like Wally, a long time ago in my "Silver Bullet" days I acquired a Linhof Viewer. I thought it would help me quickly frame an image. After a few months using it in the field, I put it away. It was becoming a crutch and I was losing my ability to frame an image with out the help of a card or a viewer.
In my opinion, its better to train your eyes and brain to see in the format you are using. This takes practice and time but has big rewards in time saving and gear.
