Hi all

Does anyone have experience with this lens? I am particularly interested in how far it needs to be stopped down to offer any movements at all and at what aperture it will cover 4x5 when no movements are employed.
The Schneider website only lists the coverage at f/22.

Any help and comments on the lens in general is much appreciated. Thanks!

You can get a sense of what happens to the image circle as you stop down by looking at Schneider's MTF curves, which are provided for f/5.6, f/11 and f/22:

I used mine at f/11, 16 and 22. It will cover 4x5 at all these apertures and probably wider. At f/22 it offers some movements but limited. A bit of rise and fall and that's it. Optical quality of this lens is of course superb.

You would do better with movements with the Fujinon 125mm CM-W at 78 degrees. I've used it on 5x7 with a few mm of rise.

Cheers, Steve

Fujinon 125 CM-W is my most used lens and is excellent. Offers reasonable movements on 4x5. The older single coated (has lettering inside the filter ring) Fujinon 125/5.6 W should have even more coverage and is a bit smaller, cheaper and relatively easy to find (there is one on eBay right now).
