Hey,
Does/did anyone make a small ~ 5x7 paper safe?
I can't seem to find anything under ~ 8x10.
I'm purchasing 5x7 packs of Adox 110 (same emulsion number). It only comes in packs of 25. I'd rather just place 10 packs in 1 safe and pre-flash them all at once.
I know I can put them in a larger safe but . . . I'd rather have something small.

What about using a 3-part film box? I bet someone on the forum has one they could spare.

Never seen anything smaller than 8 x 10. We used to make them with a box with a cover. We'd cut the two back edges of the top and tape it to the bottom to make a hinge. Worked pretty well, but maybe don't take it out in the sunlight.

Yeah, 5x7 boxes would work. I just like the idea of something a little more solid.
Thanks

Typically the 8X10 safes come with adhesive dividers that can section off a shelf.
They do exist as a couple have just gone on ebay:

What does that mean?

It wouldn't seem like a difficult thing to make out of wood.

i expose all my paper to a very little bit of light before I start printing.

fA,
I pre-flash too, when needed, but I see little advantage in pre-flashing as a standard procedure.
Sure pre-flashing can help reign in the highlights, but the trade-off is a loss of contrast in the whites. Why use it all the time?

what I use for 5x7 Brumberger Metal Roll Front Darkroom it has 3 slots for 8x10
& 4 for 5x7
