Short Rail for 1990s Linhof Karden E, M, ST, etc?

Wondering if anyone has ever found a good short rail solution to the moderately-priced "entry level" Linhof Karden monorails from the 90s until recent? Models like the RE, M, ST, etc.

Some kind of shorter or collapsible rail would make the cameras much more portable.

Have you considered a folding wood field camera? The really pretty kind that you can rub with a chammy cloth after you take it out of its case to gaze at it?
