View Full Version : Mounting large prints
I want to mount 20" x 60" colour prints (Kodak digital paper) on to Gatorfoam (no glass, frame or matte). I would like to be able to remove the print easily also and it must lie flat. Can anyone suggest the right method/materials for achieving this ?

You want a large enough vacuum press for that job. Seal did make them up to 43x66", they work perfectly for this, but they aren't cheap.... There are dry-mount tissues that claim to be removable, but I've never tried them. Given enough time, a photograph can cause even 1/2" gatorfoam to curl a little. One way to solve that is to put a Neilsen-type frame around the edge.

Or, mounting another blank sheet of the same paper on the backside of the mount board should do the flat-trick, too.
