It's got to be from a ((((())))) camera. Don't see them much, anymore.

The style and tapered edge make me think of a Deardorff V8. Is it 6"x6"?

The lensboard measures 5 1/8" x 5 1/8".
The style and color remind me of a Lotus, but I remember from the retail world...that the Lotus lens boards say Lotus on the back.

If its 6x6 inches its a generic board which fits the 8x10 Kodak 2D and All Metal View cameras, late Agfa/Ansco, Burke & James and some other 8x10 cameras. It will NOT fit a Deardorff because they have rounded edges. If its not 6x6 please post the size.

Richard, I posted the size yesterday....it is right above your post.
It is 5 1/8" x 5 1/8" and has square corners and the bottom has a tapered edge.

Well, I was going to say a 5x7 Ansco field camera. But the hardware looks modern, so it could be an old board that someone modified and did a good job of coverting it into the adapter board that it is now. Or it could be a more modern board but I don't know who made it if it is.

It may sound odd....but the board doesn't feel like an "old" board. The finish and the "feel" of it strike me as something that is more in line with having been built in the last 10 years.
I would have never thought it was this hard to ID a lens board. Maybe dagor77 would know???

I didn't see the dimensions the first time. If its 5-1/8th square I am stumped. If its 5-1/4 square it will fit a 5x7 Agfa/Ansco Universal View or an 8x10 Korona Criterion View, maybe some others. The board may well not be old. Adaptors like this are generally made up by someone for their own use. I have adaptors for both of my Agfa/Ansco cameras to take 4x4" Graphic lens boards, one I found at a sale, one I made. Lensboards come in all shapes and sizes. Probably the most common are 4x4 inch and 6x6 inch, but there are all sorts of variations, not all of them square.

Well, I sent a picture to Lotus View Cameras...and this was the response
Dear Mr Discroll,
yes this lens board looks quite familiar ...
I will ask my colleague from the workshop this afternoon and tell you the
news then.
With greetings from foggy Austria,
Lotus View Camera

So hopefully we will get to the bottom of this!!!
