Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if a BJ 8x10 Comerical View lens board fits into a Calumet C-1? I Google searched but can not seem to find a good combination that will bring up the answer.

I have a lens board but not sure if it will fit a friends camera.

Thank for your help.

No, they don't fit. The B&J lensboards have square corners, while a C1 requires round corners.

Thank you Jason.

If the corners are sanded off, since the board is wood, then can it fit or will it be just too much hassle?

Hi Kirk,
There's only a couple of things to consider.
The inner light trap has to fit through the hole in the standard,
The board should be the correct thickness(depth should be even w/front of standard) and dimension. (6X6)
Whether or not there's a groove or rib in the standard.
The radiused corners will make a better fit but aren't essential unless they create a light leak by your cutting them too deeply.

with a little care no problem. Many have made lens boards from cardboard(pattern?)
