Exhibition Opening: 'The Joshua Tree'

I’m thrilled to announce my upcoming exhibition at the Mojave National Preserve, in California’s Eastern Mojave Desert. This solo exhibition features my series The Joshua Tree, and opens this Saturday, November 5, 2011 and runs through February 5, 2012. I’ll be showing about fourteen photographs in the Desert Light Gallery at the historic Kelso Depot, and invite you to the opening reception on Saturday November 5, from 2-4pm.

These photographs were made with 4x5" and a Wollensak Verito. I just may move up my annual (but inaugurated only last year) Desert Visit to Death Valley and Joshua Tree and catch the last day of the show! My very favorite plant!! :D

Michael, where were most of your photos taken? I'm thinking of getting to Lee Flats this trip? Hey I stopped at Kelso Depot LAST February!!

Richard: Most of the photographs were made where I consistently find the most varied and unusual Joshua trees:Mojave NP. However, there are photos from a variety of Mojave Desert locations, including Death Valley NP (none from Lee Flat).
